The Hall of the Honoured
The Saga of the Fallen Wolf

"Let it be told beneath the stars and beside the fire, that even the brightest flame may flicker and fall—but in falling, ignite the storm."
—Skjald Fennrik the Red
The Saga of the Fallen Wolf is a mournful and reverent tale often recited when a great warrior of the Vlka Fenryka—a Wolf Lord, a Wolf Guard, or even a Blood Claw—falls in battle under glorious, tragic, or honourable circumstances. It is not a saga of shame, but one of solemn honour, sacrifice, and redemption.

The Last Howl
(Spoken by the Wolf Priest or Pack Leader over the fallen brother)

From the ice you were born, to the stars you soared,
By fang and fury, your saga was written in blood.
You stood unyielding, son of Russ, shield of the pack.
Now your watch is ended — your soul returns to the Wolf King.

(The pack then joins in, raising their voices in unison with a thunderous howl):

We howl so the gods hear,
We howl so Fenris remembers.
For the fallen, for the brother, for the warrior.
May Morkai guide you through the gates.
Until we meet in the long halls of Asaheim.

Go now, brother… The halls of the Allfather await you.
Your saga ends not in silence, but in glory sung by the skalds of Fenris.
You fought with fang and fury, and your name shall echo in the fires of the Great Feast.
We will howl your name beneath the moons, and your death will be repaid in blood.
For Russ. For Morkai. For you, we make war.

"We howl not in grief, but in fury.
For the fallen are not gone,
they hunt in the stars,
beside Morkai, beyond the veil"
